The most likely candidate for this photo is Francis E. Morris of Stamford, Fairfield, Connecticut born circa 1833-1835.
In both the 1850 and 1860 census he was listed as Franklin. In 1850 he was living with the family of Edmond and Maria Hobert and working as a clerk. All following census records give his occupation as a tinsmith, tinman, and manufacturer of tin.
His wife was Eleanor C. (b. Dec 1834 New York) and his children Mary E. (Morris) Palmer (b. Aug 1861 Connecticut) and Robert H. Morris (b. 1863 Connecticut).
Francis died 20 Mar 1900 in Stamford at the age of 64.
